Five-year-old SK Shahid recently got an opportunity to practice for 5 days with his idol Sachin Tendulkar. The video of SK Shahid’s batting was put on social media by his parents. After that he only got the praise of millions of people. Sachin Tendulkar was also impressed by this social media/internet sensation.
Shahid’s father works in a hair salon. He had put the video of his son on social media last month. After this Shahid attracted the attention of the international media and even cricket giants. The name of late Shane Warne is also included in the cricket legends. Shane Warne then also wished this child all the best. Shane Vaughan died of a heart attack last week.
The video also caught the attention of SK Shahid’s idol Tendulkar and then within days the Kolkata kid was given a chance to practice at the Tendulkar Middlesex Global Academy in Mumbai. Sachin Tendulkar himself taught some cricket tricks to this batsman.
Shahid’s father Sheikh Shamsher said on Friday, ‘My son is five years old. His idol is Sachin sir and it was his dream to meet him. He wants to become a cricketer. It was his dream just to see him, but thank you for what Sachin sir did.
He said, ‘We had uploaded the video on our Twitter handle, which was also tweeted by the Australian channel Fox Sports. It had tagged Tendulkar, former England captain Michael Vaughan and the late Shane Warne. we think Sachin Tendulkar saw that video and then his team member contacted us.
Sachin Tendulkar took care of all the expenses of Shahid and his family’s travel to Mumbai and arranged for their stay at a guest house. Shahid’s father wanted his son to get some professional training and Tendulkar fulfilled that wish too. Sheikh Shamsher said, “He took us to the academy where Shahid trained for five days along with other activities including swimming. We have also been given a routine and a schedule, which we have to follow at home.
