The Test rankings for the last week of March 2022 have been released by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has once again reached the number-1 position, beating West Indies’ Jason Holder. At the same time, in the ranking of batsmen, Rohit Sharma has lost one place and now he has come to 7th place. Apart from Rohit, three Indian batsmen including Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant are included in the top-10.
Pakistan captain Babar Azam saved the match for the team by playing a brilliant innings of over 190 runs in the second Test against Australia. He has got the result of this in the latest ICC rankings. Babar has now jumped three places from 8th place to fifth in the top-5. At the same time, Virat Kohli remains at 9th and Rishabh Pant at 10th place.
Australian batsman Marnus Labuschagne still remains at the top. England’s Test captain Joe Root is second, Australia’s vice-captain Steve Smith is third and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson is fourth. Sri Lankan captain Dimuth Karunaratne lost a place and has now slipped from the top-5 to the sixth spot.
Jadeja overtakes Holder
For the past few days, there has been a constant battle between Ravindra Jadeja and Caribbean star Jason Holder for the number one all-rounder. Holder had overtaken Jadeja last week but this week Holder slipped to second place and Jadeja again became the world’s number one Test all-rounder. Jadeja has 385 rating points and Holder has 357 rating points. Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin remains in third place.
Apart from this, Bangladeshi star Shakib Al Hasan is fourth and England’s Ben Stokes is in fifth place. Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins has gained in the all-rounders’ list. He has now moved from 9th to 8th position. Cummins is at the top of the bowlers’ rankings. In this list, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is second, South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is third, Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah is fourth and New Zealand’s Kyle Jamieson is at fifth place.
