The West Indies Cricket Board announced the schedule of India’s tour of the Caribbean on June 1, 2022. The Indian cricket team has to play a series of 3 ODIs and 5 T20 International matches against the West Indies from 22 July to 7 August 2022. Prior to this, Team India will play a series of three T20 Internationals and 3 ODIs in addition to the last Test of the five-match series in England from June 24 to July 17. Meanwhile, Team India will play a series of two T20 International matches against Ireland on 26 and 28 June. After seeing such a tight schedule, it can be said that the Indian cricket team will leave for the Caribbean tour from England itself.
India’s white ball cricket tour will begin with an ODI match on 22 July at the Queen’s Park Oval Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The next two matches of the ODI series will also be played at the same ground on July 24 and 27 respectively. This will be followed by five T20 Internationals at three different venues.
After India, the West Indies cricket team will play a series of 3 T20 matches against New Zealand from 10 to 14 August. Due to COVID-19 in the year 2020, the schedule of this tour has been rescheduled. Now that the West Indies Cricket Board has released the schedule of Team India’s Caribbean tour, it is expected that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will soon announce its team for this tour.
