Stock market closed in red before budget, big decline in Wipro and Reliance - India TV Hindi

Indian The stock market closed with a decline on Monday, the first trading day of the week. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex closed at 80,502 today with a decline of 0.13 percent i.e. 102 points. At the time of market closing, out of the 30 stocks of Sensex, 14 were in the green zone and 16 were in the red zone. Whereas, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed at 24,509 today with a decline of 0.09 percent i.e. 21 points. At the time of market closing, out of the 50 stocks of Nifty, 28 were in the green zone and 22 were in the red zone.

These stocks fell the most

The biggest losers in the Nifty pack today were Wipro (9.31%), Reliance (3.42%), Kotak Bank (3.25%), ITC (1.74%) and SBI Life (1.74%). The biggest gainers were Grasim (2.58%), UltraTech Cement (2.41%), NTPC (2.22%), HDFC Bank (2.16%) and Mahindra & Mahindra (2.03%).

Status of sectoral indices

Talking about sectoral indices, today the highest gain was recorded in Nifty Auto by 1.13 percent, Nifty Bank by 0.12 percent, Nifty Financial Services by 0.22 percent, Nifty Metal by 1.12 percent, Nifty Pharma by 0.98 percent, Nifty PSU Bank by 0.25 percent, Nifty Private Bank by 0.11 percent, Nifty Healthcare by 1.01 percent, Nifty Consumer Durables by 0.36 percent and Nifty Midsmall Healthcare by 1.03 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Oil & Gas fell by 0.58 percent, Nifty Realty by 0.48 percent, Nifty Media by 0.71 percent, Nifty IT by 0.43 percent, Nifty FMCG by 0.41 percent.
