Supreme Court On NEET: Supreme Court’s big order on NEET, upload marks of all students online according to city and exam center

New Delhi. Nearly 40 petitions related to the controversy over the NEET UG exam were heard in the Supreme Court today. The bench of Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Mishra, headed by Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, has given a big order to the NTA, the institution conducting the exam, in this matter. The bench said that the marks of all the students should be uploaded online according to the city and examination center. The Supreme Court gave time till 12 noon on Saturday for this. The next hearing of the case will now be on July 22.

In his order, the CJI said that while uploading the marks of all the students online, their roll numbers should be hidden as dummy roll numbers so that the identity of the students is not made public. Along with this, the Supreme Court also refused to put a stay on NEET counseling till Monday. The Solicitor General on behalf of the government said that the counseling of NEET UG will start from July 24. On this, CJI Chandrachud said, we will hear the matter on Monday itself. At the beginning of the hearing, the Chief Justice told the petitioner to satisfy us that the paper was leaked in a planned manner and on a large scale, only then the exam can be cancelled. Also tell us what should be the direction of investigation in this matter.

CJI said that there is no doubt now that the paper was leaked before the exam in Hazaribagh, Patna. Supreme Court asked NTA – how many out of 23.33 lakh candidates changed the exam center? On this, NTA told that 15,000 students had changed the center in the name of correction. However, NTA also clarified that students can only change the city and cannot choose the exam center. The selection of the exam center is done by the allotment system just two days before the exam, so no one knows which center he is going to get.
