In the digital age, we are surrounded by passwords. A new password has to be created for each app and service and then it becomes difficult to remember. Your trouble is going to end soon. Apple, Google, and Microsoft are working together to bring you passwordless sign-in. The company reportedly wants to protect users from password attacks as passwords are easily guessed.
In a press release, Apple said that the three companies are preparing to increase support for a passwordless sign-in standard created by the FIDO Alliance and the World Wide Web Consortium. Through the new feature, websites and apps will allow users to sign in on different devices without entering a password. Not just the big three tech companies, but hundreds of companies around the world are working under the FIDO Alliance and W3C to create passwordless sign-in.

How will the new feature work
Passwordless sign-in uses the user’s phone as a hardware key. The phone will store a passkey, which is also backed up online. To sign in to a computer or website, users will be asked to unlock their phone. Unlocking the phone will allow you to access the relevant computer or website without entering a password.
