Instant messaging app WhatsApp has made a new change, which may disappoint many users. WhatsApp has put restrictions on forwarding messages in groups. According to the latest update, you can now send more forwarded Many Times messages to only one group or chat. This has been done to prevent the spread of fake news and misinformation.

Let us tell you that earlier you could send any forward message in 5 groups or chats. However, after the new feature comes, the message written Forwarded Many Times will be able to go only in a group or chat. If you try to send it in more than one chat, a warning comes on the screen – “Messages Forward many times can only be shared with up to one chat at a time.” (Messages forwarded ‘multiple times’ can only be shared with one chat at a time.)

According to WABetaInfo, the instant-messaging app previously introduced this limit in the WhatsApp beta of Android 2.22.7. WhatsApp users should note that the new limit will be applicable only on already forwarded messages.

While you can still forward a new message in up to five chats. When a message passes through five or more chats, the message is labeled “Forwarded many times” with a double arrow indicating that the message has been forwarded at least five times.
