For the last few months, Tata Motors has increased the tension for big companies like Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai. In April also, the sales figures of vehicles are indicating something similar. While Maruti and Hyundai have registered a decline again, Tata Motors posted a strong positive growth in sales.
Tata ranked third
A total of 2,93,435 units were sold in April 2022 as compared to 2,86,699 units sold in the same period last year. In the list of top 10, 6 car companies have registered positive year-on-year growth. Maruti Suzuki is at number one followed by Hyundai at number two. At the same time, Tata Motors remains at the third position in a row.

Interestingly, both Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai have registered a decline of around 10 per cent in April 2022. Tata Motors, which came third in the list, sold 41,587 units in April. However, the company’s MoM sales declined marginally by 1.67%.

The company’s sales stood at 25,095 units in the same period last year. Thus Tata Motors registered a positive growth of 65.72%. The company has a market share of 14.17%. Tata continues to grow stronger with the success of cars like Nexon, Punch, Altroz, Harrier and Safari.
