Former minister and SP MP Azam Khan got relief a day after the voting for the UP assembly elections ended. On Tuesday, he got bail from the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court in a case registered against him in Lucknow. However, he will still remain in jail as the verdict is reserved against him in two cases.
A single bench of Justice Ramesh Sinha of Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court directed Azam Khan to be granted bail. Chargesheet has been filed against Azam Khan under section 505(2) of IPC. Court has granted bail to Samajwadi Party Azam Khan in a case of grabbing government land. Even after getting bail, he will still be lodged in Sitapur jail. Please inform that Azam Khan is lodged in Sitapur jail for the last two years.
