In Bihar, the chairman of the NDA constituent VIP, Mukesh Sahni, has suffered a major setback. All three VIP MLAs, Mishri Lal Yadav, Raju Singh and Swarna Singh have left the party. The three MLAs have also extended support to the BJP.
The three MLAs met Speaker Vijay Sinha on Wednesday and apprised them of their decision. During this, both the Deputy CM of BJP and BJP President Sanjay Jaiswal were also present. At present, all the three MLAs are present in the Speaker’s room. It is being told that the VIP party is being merged with the BJP in the assembly.
The tussle between Mukesh Sahni and BJP was increasing even before the UP assembly elections. It was constantly being said that Mukesh Sahni does not have his three MLAs with him. There is opposition to his decisions in the VIP party itself, but no one is speaking openly.
VIP’s national spokesperson Dev Jyoti told News18 that the party gets bigger. Our MLA is gone. Everyone knows at whose behest he went. He said that we are fighting the battle of Nishad reservation. The party was formed in 2020 for the betterment of Nishad society. Today we have three MLAs, we will have 40 MLAs in the next election. The national spokesperson has not yet said anything on the reasons for the three MLAs leaving the party.
A day earlier, Mukesh Sahni had said while doing Facebook Live that today diplomacy is being done from our colleague’s side. He said that today the allies are trying to ‘break’ because they know that as our strength increases, we will have to compromise on more seats. He said that the latest circumstances are telling that I have been expelled from the NDA. As a minister in the government, I cannot speak everything right now. Try to understand my signal.
