There was such a turnaround in Bihar’s politics on Wednesday, which Vikas Insaan Party (VIP) supremo Mukesh Sahni had never imagined. All the three MLAs of the party have joined the BJP. During the 2020 assembly elections, the party contested on 11 seats but was successful in four seats. After the death of one MLA, Musafir Paswan, the party had three MLAs left in the assembly. These three- Raju Singh, Mishrilal Yadav and Swarna Singh have now become BJP. Sahni himself became a member of the Legislative Council and was entrusted with the responsibility of Animal Husbandry Department in the Nitish-led government. But his extreme ambition and love for the Lalu family has sunk his boat. Now the clouds of danger are hovering over his ministerial post too. Apart from this, he may also have to lose the post of Legislative Council member in July. In such a situation, know those five mistakes due to which Sahni’s boat sank.
Contested against BJP in UP
Mukesh Sahni, who also calls himself the Son of Mallah, founded the VIP party three years ago. He contested the Bihar Assembly elections for the first time and four of his MLAs got victory. After this, he contested 53 seats with the intention of trying his luck in the UP assembly elections and expanding the party. Not a single seat came in the party’s account in the election, but Sahni found it costly to mess with BJP unnecessarily. During the election, he had appealed to the voters not to vote for BJP by giving a proper advertisement in the newspaper. Due to contesting elections against BJP, an atmosphere started building against him. The demand for his removal from the ministerial post started rising from within the BJP. Many leaders said that they did not follow the coalition dharma. On this, Sahni had said that every party has the right to expand.
Candidates fielded in Legislative Council elections
Despite the crushing defeat in UP, Sahni did not take any lesson and showed his attitude to BJP again. He has announced seven candidates against the BJP in the elections to the Bihar Legislative Council. At the same time, it has been said to give its support to JDU. Actually, Sahni was demanding some seats of MLC but BJP accepted his demand. BJP and JDU have fielded their candidates on 12 seats each. At the same time, BJP has given one seat from its quota to RLSP. Angered by this, Sahni fielded seven candidates against the party.

Lalu’s love shown many times
Mukesh Sahni was earlier a part of the Grand Alliance but when the seat sharing did not work out, he joined the BJP. He contested 11 seats in alliance with the NDA alliance. During the assembly elections, he had accused the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) of stabbing him in the back. After winning the election and becoming a minister, he showed his inclination towards the Lalu family several times. Sahni had said that he considers Lalu as his inspiration. It was because of him that he entered politics. Apart from this, recently he had invited Tejashwi to form the government together. However, he had also put a condition to make himself CM for two and a half years. Making such an offer to RJD while in NDA also stunned BJP.
Threatening to break alliance
Since becoming a minister in Bihar, Sahni has threatened to leave the alliance several times. This threat has now become very heavy on him. So much so that he had said that no one has seen the future. If our and RJD’s ideas come together, then anything can happen in future politics. In response to this, the BJP MLA had bluntly said that if he wants to go, then go, do not give giddiness. Let us tell you that Sahni had boycotted the NDA’s legislative party meeting in July 2021. Then the then VIP MLA Raju Kumar Singh had raised question marks on his leadership. He had said that the way he is taking decisions for the party, it is not right.
