Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik has once again come into the limelight for his statement. Governor Satya Pal Malik asked the farmers to understand the questions before fighting. He told the farmers that they should first change the rule, then unite and form their government. Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik was addressing the Kisan Samman ceremony organized by Kandela Khap and Majra Khap at village Kandela in Jind, Haryana on Sunday.
He said that farmers should make themselves strong, but this is possible only when you hoist your own flag at the Red Fort in Delhi. He was presented a turban by the Khaps and a hookah, an example of brotherhood. After receiving the Kisan Samman Ratna given by the Khaps, he returned it to the farmers who lost their lives in the farmers’ movement.
He said that the farmers stood on the roads for more than a year regardless of the heat, cold and rain in Delhi. He said that Khapes are our strength. Whenever the Khaps are in need, they will stand by them. He appealed to educate girls, stop mass eating and put an end to the dowry system.
