The countdown has begun for the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan in Pakistan. Voting will be held on April 3 on the no-confidence motion brought by the opposition against the Imran Khan government. While the discussion on the proposal will start from March 31. Imran Khan has directed the members of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) not to appear in the National Assembly on the day of voting on the no-confidence motion.
In a letter issued to the members of PTI, Imran Khan has directed them to abstain from voting on the no-confidence motion brought in the National Assembly. Along with this, it has also been told in the letter what to do and what not to do. He has been ordered to strictly follow the instructions of the party. Prime Minister Imran Khan’s signature is on the letter issued to the members. Imran Khan who is the President of PTI Party and also a Parliamentary Leader.

It has been said in the letter that no member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will be present on the day and time of voting on the no-confidence motion. During the debate on this motion, only the nominated members of the party will speak. The letter further states that it is made clear to all the members that no member shall contravene any of the directions. Violation of the directions shall be deemed to be defection expressly under Article 63-A.
Imran Khan is facing a no-confidence motion from the Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharib. Sharif is also the brother of three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif. To save his government from collapse, Imran Khan must have the support of 172 members in the 342-member National Assembly. If this does not happen, then Imran Khan will face a big problem.
