More than five lakh houses constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Madhya Pradesh will be handed over to women on March 28. An official of the Madhya Pradesh Public Relations Department said on Wednesday that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would attend the state-level program of handing over houses in Seoni on March 28, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take part in it virtually.
Earlier on Tuesday, Chief Minister Shivraj discussed the preparations for the program with the district officials of the state through video conferencing from the Chief Minister’s residence. He said that getting a house of any citizen is a moment of special joy in his life. The Chief Minister said, ‘On March 28, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin) in the state-level program, in the year 2021-22, in the year 2021-22, in the 5.50 lakh houses constructed in 18,298 gram panchayats of the state, home entry of Laxmis is being done. District officers, public representatives and concerned families should try to make this occasion memorable.
Shivraj gave important instructions
Shivraj directed that continuous attention should be paid to the implementation of this important scheme run by the Central and State Governments in the interest of the homeless citizens. He said that for better implementation of the scheme in Madhya Pradesh, the effect which has been felt in other states due to the earlier efforts should be maintained. Shivraj instructed to invite all the MPs, MLAs and other public representatives at the district, district and village level in the program.
He will be the chief guest in the house entry
Shivraj said that the beneficiaries of every gram panchayat are taking advantage of the scheme, so the work of lighting lamps and making rangoli should also be done where the house entry is to be held. The Chief Minister said that Sarpanch, elder or any eminent person should be invited as the chief guest in the villages. He also directed to make arrangements for live telecast of the programme.
