Here a newly married woman was abandoned by her husband for dowry shortly after marriage, while on the other hand her neighbor was harassing her for having an illicit relationship.
Disturbed by all this, the married woman embraced death. The brother of the deceased has registered a case in this regard with the police. The brother of the deceased has demanded action against the husband and the harassing neighbour. A case has been registered at the Mahila Police Station in Barmer district.
Married a year ago, husband left for dowry
SI Kishnaram told that Jeti Devi was married about a year ago with Mangaram, a resident of Mithisar. Jeti’s husband is a tile artisan in Gujarat. It was told that shortly after the marriage, the woman’s husband and her in-laws used to harass her for dowry. After which the deceased left her in-laws’ house and came to her village Gudisar to live with her Pehar side, where she lived with her mother and two brothers.
One sided love, pressure to build relationships
In the complaint lodged with the police, it was told that the woman was upset with Jasram, a young man from the village. It was told that the young man loved her one sided and was pressurizing her to have an illicit relationship. The accused used to harass Jeti Devi every day. According to the police, the woman committed suicide by hanging herself due to a dispute with her husband and troubled by the young man.

SI Kishnaram said that the woman’s brother and her mother had gone out at the time of the incident and the woman was sitting at home with her two sisters-in-law. During this, she went to a room of the house and hanged the room by locking it from inside. After some time, the women present in the house started shouting after seeing Jetti hanging.
