The price of milk in the city is going to rise by Rs 5 once again as the milkmen are adamant about the demand of increasing the price of milk. Whereas milk dairy operators are not ready to accept their demand. This is the reason that on Tuesday, the Milky Union organized a meeting at the Chintaharan temple. Many important decisions were taken in this meeting, under which the milk collector will submit a memorandum to the SDM and SP on Wednesday. From Thursday, all the milkmen will also go on strike, which will lead to shortage of milk in the district.
The milkmen say that in the last two to three months, there has been a difference of ten rupees per kg on the cake. Due to the increase in the price of mustard, its drinking has also become expensive. Apart from this, the prices of green fodder, chuni, millet etc. have also increased. Till a few days ago, straw was available at Rs 9 a kg, which has now become Rs 18 per kg. In such a situation, if we do not demand to increase the price of milk, then what should we do?
decisions taken in the meeting
It was decided by the entire milk union to sell milk at the rate of Rs 45 per liter.
If there is no decision on the rate between the seller and the buyer, then from March 9, the milk union will go on strike.
If any milkman sells milk during the strike, then the committee will punish him with 11 thousand.
If a milkman gives milk to a confectioner on fat, then a fine of 11 thousand will be imposed.
If a milkman sells milk at a lower rate, then he will be fined 11 thousand.
If a confectioner does not take the milk of a milkman, then no other milkman will give him milk.
Dairy union said – the demand of milkers is illegitimate
In this case, when the President of Dairy Association Anand Rathore says that at present we are giving a price of Rs 38 a liter to milkmen and supplying it to the public at Rs 40 a liter. Now the milkmen are asking for the rate of Rs 45 per liter. This demand is completely unjustified. According to Anand Rathore, how can the price be increased by Rs 7 a liter? According to him, if we buy milk from milkmen at this rate, then we will have to sell milk to the general public for Rs 50 a liter, which is almost impossible, because the milk that is coming from the companies is Rs 46 a liter. In this situation, the customer will start buying milk from companies by not taking milk from us. Due to this our business will also come to a standstill and that of milkmen too.
How will the supply be in the event of a strike?
According to dairy operators doing business of milk in the city, 20 thousand liters of milk is consumed in a day in the city. Anand Rathore, president of the Milk Dairy Association, says that in the event of a strike, we will not allow this milk shortage in the city. According to Anand Rathore, as soon as the milkmen go on strike, we will supply milk to the city by ordering milk from places like Kolaras, Karera, Bairad etc.
