UP Exit Polls: On Monday evening, exit polls of different survey agencies came out on many news channels regarding the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh. Almost all the exit polls claim that if the BJP government is going to be formed once again in UP, then the SP will have to sit in the opposition once again. This time Shivpal Yadav, the chief of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PRSP), who contested the elections in alliance with the SP, and Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle Shivpal Yadav has now broken the silence about the exit polls.
Shivpal Yadav on Tuesday morning dismissed the exit polls as misleading and unreliable. He expressed confidence that the SP alliance is going to form a full-fledged government. Shivpal Yadav tweeted, “The picture shown by exit polls is virtual, misleading and unreliable. The public is understanding the intention behind this very well. The socialist coalition is going to form a government of absolute majority. Candidates and workers should be alert and active till the counting of votes. Surely success is looking your way.

Earlier, SP MP Ram Gopal Yadav and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SubhaSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar have also expressed confidence that the SP coalition government will be formed in UP, rejecting the claims of exit polls. Both the leaders have appealed to focus on the counting of votes and be careful instead of the exit polls of TV.
OP Rajbhar tweeted on Tuesday morning, “The mandate of the people of Uttar Pradesh, SP + SubhaSP alliance is coming. Ignore the television… don’t procrastinate until you count! Always focus on the EVM machine.
Ram Gopal Yadav has also rejected the exit polls and asked the workers to be careful in counting the votes. Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle and Rajya Sabha MP Ram Gopal Yadav said, “Exit polls are monitored. Samajwadi alliance is winning 300+ seats. The candidates and workers should get the votes counted carefully and prepare to hoist the victory flag on 10th March.
