Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has apologized to the Akal Takht for worshiping the cow. In fact, politics was heated in the speaker’s gaushala regarding Gopujan, it was said against Sikh principles. The apology submitted last night to Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh is yet to be received.
Following criticism from the Sikh sangat, Sandhwan offered prayers at the Golden Temple last night. He handed over a letter to a manager of the Golden Temple when the Akal Takht Secretariat was closed. Secretariat did not open today due to weekly holiday. In such a situation, the letter of apology is likely to be received by the Jathedar tomorrow.
‘Inadvertent mistake hurt Sikh sentiments’
In the apology letter, Sandhwan told that he had gone on an invitation to the cowshed where cow worship was going on. He said that the Sikh sentiments have been hurt due to an unintentional mistake. He has apologized to the cult for this. He said he was committed to his religion, but respected other religions as well. A video in this regard also went viral on social media.
