The Supreme Court will host a special event on Thursday to celebrate the first International Day of Women Judges. A release issued by the apex court said that as per the directions of the Chief Justice, the Registry of the Supreme Court is celebrating the first International Day of Women Judges on March 10.
Let us tell you, on 28 April 2021, the United Nations General Assembly announced the International Day of Women Judges on 10 March every year.
According to the release, all women judges and women judicial officers of constitutional courts across the country have been invited to participate in the program through online mode. At the same time, Chief Justice of India NV Ramana and women judges of the apex court Justice Indira Banerjee, Justice Hima Kohli, Justice BV Nagaratna and Justice Bela M Trivedi will participate.
