Uttarakhand new chief minister: The name of the new chief minister of Uttarakhand can be approved by March 20. On behalf of the BJP state organization, the newly elected MLAs are being instructed to be available in Dehradun after Holi. Despite getting the majority in Uttarakhand on March 10, the BJP high command has not started the process of selecting the Leader of the House. It is understood that being Holashtak till March 17 is the main reason for this. At the same time, the high command does not want to allow situations like change of three chief ministers like last time in choosing a new chief minister. That is why the party is working on every angle in the election of a new leader.
Sources said that BJP Uttarakhand election in-charge and Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya have given their report to the high command in Delhi. The delay in the selection of the Leader of the House has increased the heartbeat of the faces involved in the Chief Minister’s race. Many leaders including Satpal Maharaj, Subodh Uniyal have reached Delhi. Whereas, some leaders are engaged in the siege of MLAs in the state itself. For former Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the process of offering seats on behalf of the MLAs and meeting them has intensified.
Supervisor not yet appointed
BJP sources said that the appointments of observers for the selection of the Leader of the House are yet to be done. Two days ago, there were discussions on social media to make Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Dharmendra Pradhan as observers. But BJP state president Madan Kaushik says that no observer has been appointed yet.
Legislature party meeting on 19th or 20th
Party sources said that the high command is in favor of calling a meeting of the legislature party only after Holi. It is believed that on March 19 or 20, a meeting of the legislature party can be called, in which the name of the leader of the house will be stamped. The meeting is expected to be held at the BJP headquarters. The deadline for government formation in Uttarakhand is 23 March.
High command serious on rhetoric
The BJP high command is being told that it is serious about lobbying and raising slogans in support of the Chief Minister. Recently, at the BJP headquarters, some pro-workers raised slogans in support of their respective leaders. At the same time, some leaders are engaged in lobbying. Sources said that the party high command has instructed the state leadership to stop such slogan-raising.
BJP state president Madan Kaushik said that the meeting of the legislature party regarding the selection of the Leader of the House will be held only after Holi. So far no observer has been nominated by the party high command. MLAs are also being asked to reach Doon after Holi.
