A vehicle returning with school children overturned in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. A total of 23 children were in the vehicle, out of which 18 were injured. At the same time, the driver died on the spot. The accident happened this afternoon near village Dhatravada on Dewas Road. The injured children have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
Seeing the injured children, the relatives were weeping
According to the information, the vehicle was returning with the children of a private school. It was unbalanced and overturned in the ditch near village Dhatravada, located in the police station area of Nagjhiri of Ujjain. The driver of the vehicle died on the spot in the accident. At the same time, out of total 23 children, 18 children were injured. All of them were admitted to the district hospital with the help of ambulance and dial 100. On getting the information, the family members reached the district hospital and were shocked to see the injured children.
DM and SP reached hospital
After getting information about the incident, DM Ashish Singh and SP Satyendra Kumar Shukla also reached to know the condition of the injured children. The DM said that an investigation team has been constituted in the matter. Prima facie it has emerged that the accident happened due to speeding of the vehicle. In this the driver died on the spot. The children told that the driver was driving at high speed after consuming alcohol. Despite many refusals, he did not agree. As a result, the vehicle became unbalanced.
