While people are divided over Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’, Kashmiri youth leader Javed Baig has said that there is nothing false about the film. Although he also said that only this film is not true, there are many other truths of injustice done to Kashmiri Hindus, a film should be made on them too.
Talking to Live Hindustan, General Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party (Secular) of Kashmir, Javed Baig said, ‘I was very young at that time, everything happened in front of my eyes. We failed as a society, we had the responsibility to protect those minorities. He said that not all those who killed those people were Kashmiri Muslims, but Kashmiri Muslims could not save them and hence we, every Muslim should apologize to them.
‘Pakistani terrorists got protection in Kashmir’
Baig said, in those days those who committed atrocities with Kashmiri Pandits were the people of Kashmir here, Muslims from here. Of those who did all that, some people are still alive today, we must admit that a mistake has been made. He said, ‘No Kashmir files are needed to admit this mistake, for this only humanity is needed.’ He said that the people here gave protection to Pakistani terrorists and then these atrocities took place on Kashmiri Hindus.
Javed said this on ‘Raliv, Galiv or Chaliv’
Javed said, ‘Kashmiri Pandits have lost everything. They were troubled for years, they are still there, but even after so many troubles, today Kashmiri Pandit brothers are illuminating the name of Kashmir in the whole world. Even after facing so much, he never took the wrong path, never picked up a gun. They help Kashmiri Muslim children even today. When I went out to study, Kashmiri Pandits taught me like a son and brother. ‘Raliv, Chaliv or Galliv’ he said that I myself had heard these slogans. He said, ‘These slogans were given from mosques, but the people who used to give these slogans were against Islam. We will keep repairing it again and again.
