Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned from the post after nearly eight months of tussle in the Punjab Congress. Congress President Sonia Gandhi had asked the states to resign from the presidents. Sidhu had tweeted and wrote, As desired by the Congress President, I have sent my resignation.
Let us inform that after the Aam Aadmi Party’s landslide victory in Punjab, Sidhu had said that the people of Punjab have taken a good decision and a new foundation has been laid. After this he was also criticized a lot. He had said, ‘I congratulate the people of Punjab for taking a very good decision and laying a new foundation. People have changed. We should accept the mandate humbly because the voice of the people is the voice of God.
