Satyapal Malik News: Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik had recently claimed that he was offered a bribe of Rs 300 crore for clearing files related to Ambani, an RSS leader. This claim of Satyapal Malik caused a sensation. Now the Jammu and Kashmir administration has recommended a CBI inquiry into these allegations. Satyapal Malik said that Rs 300 crore was offered to him to file, but he canceled the deal. However, during this, Malik had praised PM Narendra Modi and said that at that time the PM had asked him not to compromise on corruption.
Malik made these claims at an event held in Rajasthan. He had said, ‘After going to Kashmir, two files came to me. One was Ambani’s file and the other was of an RSS affiliate who was a minister in the previous Mehbooba Mufti-BJP coalition government. He was also very close to PM Modi. Malik further said, ‘I was informed by the secretaries that there was a scam in this and then I canceled both the deals alternately. The secretaries told me that Rs 150-150 crore would be given for both the files. But I told them that I have come with five kurta-pyjamas and will leave with only that.
Jammu and Kashmir was told the most corrupt state
Satyapal Malik has already made many claims about Jammu and Kashmir. He had said that Jammu and Kashmir is one of the most corrupt states in the country. Malik had said that Kashmir is the most corrupt place in the country. Four to five per cent commission is demanded in the whole country, but 15 per cent is demanded in Kashmir. He said that during his time no big case of corruption came to the fore in Kashmir. He said, ‘Since I am a poor man, I can fight with any powerful man in the country. There is no home to live in after retirement, so there is nothing to worry about.
Many times have given uncomfortable statements to the government
Satya Pal Malik is currently the Governor of Meghalaya, but despite holding a constitutional post, he has often spoken openly on political issues. During the farmers’ movement, he also made many comments that made the government uncomfortable. He even claimed that when farmers died, PM Narendra Modi had asked them if they died for me. Satyapal Malik has criticized the government many times for agricultural laws.
