Pune. Due to the torrential rains in Lonavala, Maharashtra for the last several days, many areas have been flooded. On Wednesday, around 25-30 tourists who had come to visit Lonavala’s hill station village Malavali got stuck in a house. Shivdurg rescue team and local people reached the spot and rescued all the tourists and took them to a safe place. A video of this incident is also going viral, in which many tourists are seen walking through waist-deep water.

Lonavala is a famous tourist place in Pune. Tourists keep coming here throughout the year. In view of the heavy rains, the administration has issued a warning. In this, tourists have been advised to be cautious during the journey. The ongoing heavy rains have further increased the risk of floods, so the visitors have been advised to be cautious and follow the safety guidelines given by the local authorities.

Shivdurg rescue team skillfully saved lives
Malwali village is a hill station in Lonavala, where tourists come to visit throughout the year. The same thing happened on Wednesday, the tourists who came here to visit were stuck in a bungalow due to heavy rain. Due to the heavy rain that continued for hours, there was waterlogging up to waist level everywhere. After which the Shivdurg rescue team showed efficiency and took all the tourists to a safe place without any harm.

The rain will continue
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted more heavy rains in Lonavala and surrounding areas. Due to the rain, the local administration has announced closure of schools for Thursday and Friday.
