These two veterans who are going on the Sri Lanka tour as assistant coaches have worked with Gautam Gambhir before. Their names are Abhishek Nair and Ryan Ten Doeschate. The Indian team is going to Sri Lanka soon. The T20 series will be played between Team India and Sri Lanka from July 27. After this, both the teams will face each other in the ODI series from August 2.

Gautam Gambhir, who became the head coach on July 9, held his first press conference on July 22. During this, he gave important information about the coaching staff. Gambhir said that former all-rounders Abhishek Nair and Ryan Ten Doeschate will play the role of assistant coaches on the Sri Lanka tour. Former Indian all-rounder Sairaj Bahutule will be in the role of interim bowling coach on the Sri Lanka tour. T. Dilip will go to Sri Lanka as fielding coach. T. Dilip was also in the same role in the T20 World Cup winning team. It is believed that his tenure will be extended.
