Vibhav Kumar Appealed To The Supreme Court: Vibhav Kumar, accused of assaulting Swati Maliwal, knocked on the door of the Supreme Court

New Delhi. Vibhav Kumar, accused of assaulting Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, has now knocked the door of the Supreme Court. Vibhav Kumar has challenged the High Court’s order rejecting his bail plea in the apex court. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s former PA Vibhav Kumar was arrested by the police on May 18. AAP MP Swati Maliwal had alleged that on May 13, when she reached CM Kejriwal’s official residence to meet him, CM’s PA Vibhav Kumar misbehaved with her and assaulted her.

This case had become quite controversial and Arvind Kejriwal was embarrassed. The very next day after the case came to light, Vibhav Kumar was seen with Arvind Kejriwal in Lucknow. From BJP to Congress, everyone questioned Kejriwal’s silence in this case and put him in the dock. The Delhi High Court rejected Vibhav Kumar’s bail plea, saying that he has been a close aide of the CM, so he has a lot of influence. For this reason, the petitioner cannot be released on bail.

Delhi Police has registered a case against Vibhav Kumar under several serious sections like 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 354 (B) (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to disrobe), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (uttering obscene words or making gestures with intent to insult the modesty of a woman) and 341 (wrongful restraint). Swati Maliwal’s medical test was done at Delhi AIIMS, in which it was revealed that she had internal injuries on her face. Swati’s medical test lasted for about 3 hours, in which X-ray and CT scan were also done.
