According to Fox 9, a fishing guide, Eric Best, posted a video on the Lake of the Woods Facebook group that shows him and a co-worker pulling off an ice fish house. While they are carrying the Ice Fish House, the road is flooded with water. This video of moving the house from one place to another has become viral. It is seen in this video how the house is being taken out from the middle of the lake. A flood-like situation has arisen after the snow-covered road melts. Since then the house has been removed from there. The video of this has been recorded and shared on social media.
Best said that snow is never 100% safe, so I would by no means recommend anyone to go out on their driving through the middle of a flooded or snowy road, but this is a road on which we Traveling every day, so according to us the snow was safe to get out there. Like I said, we had customers there, so it’s a responsibility to get out there and make sure they get off safely and get home safely.
Best mentioned that running in flooded snowy roads is not uncommon, but he says it was heartbreaking for him despite all the information. He said it was a little water. It ends up on the side of the road. There were parts of it that were 3.5′ deep of water, so it was pretty much what is likely at this time of year. Almost every year, you see situations like this. In such a situation, it is risky to take out the house and belongings of a customer. Luckily, everyone made it out of the snow safely as we can see in the video.
