On the occasion of Guru Purnima, a wave of faith has surged on the banks of Saryu in Ramnagari Ayodhya. Since morning, devotees are bathing in the Saryu river and offering prayers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the countrymen on the occasion of Guru Purnima. PM Modi posted on ‘X’, “Many best wishes to all the countrymen on the holy festival of Guru Purnima.” Guru Purnima is being celebrated across the country today.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted, “Guru is the main carrier of development of any society and nation. With the knowledge gained from years of penance, research and experience, they work to take disciples from darkness to light and sow the seeds of character building and patriotism in them. On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, I salute all such Gurus and wish all the countrymen a Happy ‘Guru Purnima’.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted, “Hearty greetings to the people of the state on the holy festival of ‘Guru Purnima’! Guru’s grace protects the disciple from all kinds of obstacles. It removes the physical, divine and material troubles of the disciple who surrenders and grants him salvation. Respectful greetings and salutations to all the Gurus!”

Guru Purnima is also known as Ashadhi and Vyas Purnima. Maharishi Veda Vyas was born on this day, so it is also called Vyas Purnima. Seasons also change from this day. On this day, the future crops are predicted by testing the air.
