Why Kangana Ranaut got angry at Shankaracharya, she appealed to Hindu religion

Jyotirmath’s Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati’s statement regarding Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has heated up Maharashtra’s politics. Shankaracharya had said that Uddhav Thackeray is a ‘victim of betrayal’. Meanwhile, BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has now come out in support of Shinde. She took a dig at Shankaracharya saying that Swami Avimukteshwaranand has ‘hurt everyone’s feelings’ by calling Shinde a ‘traitor’ and ‘traitor’.

Kangana, who was elected MP from Mandi Lok Sabha seat of Himachal Pradesh, posted on social media platform X, in which she wrote, ‘Alliance, treaty and division of a party in politics is a very normal and constitutional thing. Congress party was divided in 1907 and then in 1971, if a politician does not do politics in politics, will he sell golgappas?’

Kangana also alleged that Shankaracharya has misused his words, his influence and religious education. She wrote, ‘Religion also says that if the king himself starts exploiting the subjects, then treason is the last religion. Shankaracharya ji has hurt the sentiments of all of us by using derogatory words like traitor, treacherous against our honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde ji.’

Kangana also said that ‘Shankaracharya ji is hurting the dignity of Hindu religion by saying such small and petty things.’

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda of Jyotirmath in Joshimath, Uttarakhand, met Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray at his residence in Mumbai earlier this week and said he was a “victim of betrayal”. “Uddhav Thackeray has been betrayed and many people are saddened by it. I met him today at his request and told him that until he becomes the Chief Minister again, the pain of the people will not subside,” he told reporters there.

He further said, ‘One who betrays cannot be a Hindu. One who tolerates betrayal is a Hindu… The entire people of Maharashtra are saddened by the betrayal and this was also visible in the recent (Lok Sabha) elections.’

Let us tell you that after the rebellion of Eknath Shinde and the split in Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray’s Maha Vikas Aghadi government fell in June 2022. After this, he became the Chief Minister of Maharashtra by forming an alliance with BJP.
