Paris Olympics 2024: Only a few days are left for the start of the Paris Olympics. This time more than 10,000 players are participating in the Paris Olympics and tight security arrangements have been made for them. Every player dreams of winning a medal in the Olympics. Now, just a few days before the start of the Olympics 2024, world number one tennis player Yannick Sinner has withdrawn his name. He has revealed this himself.

Made a big announcement on social media itself

World number one tennis player Yannick Sinner withdrew from the Paris Olympics due to a throat infection (tonsils). The 22-year-old Italian player wrote on social media that the doctor has advised him not to participate in the Olympic Games. Sinner wrote that I am extremely sad and disappointed. Playing at the Olympic Games was one of my main targets for this season. I was really looking forward to coming back to Roland Garros and playing for my country in this tournament. However, after seeing my doctors on Tuesday and waiting an extra day to give myself some more time to see if my condition would improve, things unfortunately got worse.

Yannick Sinner further wrote that I hope I will be able to play in the Olympics in the future. I was looking forward to competing with my teammates and the rest of the Italian team, but for now it will have to wait. As advised by my medical team, I will now take some time to rest and recover completely. I wish the entire Italian team all the best. I hope to come back stronger in the future.

Won the first Grand Slam title in January

Yannick Sinner had a very good performance this year. He won his first Grand Slam title with the Australian Open in January. After this, he became the world number one player in the ATP rankings by reaching the semi-finals of the French Open last month. He reached the quarter-finals of the Binldon Open in 2023. The draw for Olympic tennis will be held on Thursday while the matches will start on Saturday.
