Despite being surrounded on so many fronts, Israel has targeted the positions of Houthi rebels in Yemen. Israel carried out rapid air strikes in Yemen on Thursday morning. Israel has destroyed many positions of Houthi rebels by air strikes.
Rebel positions were targeted in Yemen
The Israeli military said in a statement that it struck both ground and coastal rebel positions in Yemen, although it did not provide details of the strikes. The army said it will continue to act against all threats posed to its citizens, carrying out operations where necessary.
Houthi rebels fired missile at Israel
Houthi rebels had earlier said the attacks targeted the capital Sanaa and the port city of Hodeida. Earlier, Houthi rebels fired a missile targeting central Israel, triggering sirens in Tel Aviv and other areas. The Israeli army said its air force intercepted and destroyed a missile launched from Yemen before it could enter the country. (AP)
