The historic Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple in Andhra Pradesh’s Nellore has been decorated with Rs 5.16 crore notes on account of the celebrations of Dussehra and Navratri. The grand decoration of the temple remains a topic of discussion on social media as well. However, this is not the first time the temple has been decorated in this way. Earlier also this temple was decorated with currency notes on the occasion of Dussehra.

It is noteworthy that the renovation work of this temple was completed in four years at a cost of 11 crores. Mukkala Dwarkanath, chairman of the Nalore Urban Development Authority and a member of the temple committee, said that this temple is 130 years old. He also informed that more than 100 volunteers will work in the temple during Dussehra. Apart from this, this time the goddess will be adorned with 7 kg gold and 60 kg silver with the donation of devotees.

Colored notes ranging from 10 rupees to 2 thousand were used to decorate the temple. Bouquets, flowers and other things have been decorated for decoration in the temple from the notes itself. According to reports, the temple was decorated with notes worth more than 1 crore in the year 2020.
