New Delhi, 7 October (). The Central Homeopathy Research Council (CCRH) under the Ministry of AYUSH has initiated an important initiative in collaboration with Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), the constituent unit of Manipal Higher Education Academy (MAHE). It is being held from 6 to 10 October in the MAHE campus Manipal Karnataka.
It is a five -day residential workshop titled ‘Bio -Safety and Outbreak Simulation Training 2025’.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director General of CCRH as the chief guest. He explained to the people about the cooperation between CCRH and MAHE for the creation of a powerful healthcare system.
He stressed the need to equip research scientists with necessary skills to deal with emerging health crises and mentioned the ability of homeopathy in dealing with infectious diseases and global epidemics.
MIV Director Dr. Chiranjaya Mukhopadhyay welcomed all dignitaries and guests.
This special training program has been designed to increase the capacity of research scientists of CCRH. Its primary objective is to strengthen the capabilities of quick response in the event of preparations, bio -safety practices and outbreaks of diseases, which can strengthen public health initiatives under the Ministry of AYUSH.
This capacity-making program has created widespread interest across the country. Research scientists from 33 institutions and units of CCRH applied to participate in it, of which 30 talented research scientists from 14 states and union territories have been selected after intensive online assessment.
On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged between CCRH and MAHE to facilitate useful cooperation in major areas of research, education and training. It was signed by Dr. Subhash Kaushik and MAHE Registrar Dr. P Giridhar Kini.
Dr. Sharat Kumar Rao, Prof. Vice Chancellor of Health Sciences at MAHE, assured all kinds of cooperation in associate research projects. The training program took place in the presence of Dr. Suhana P Azis, Dr. Srikant Gopinathan Pillai, Dr. Sudhish N and Anup Jairam.
