Gold and silver prices continue to rise across the country. Both are making new records. Gold and silver have once again created a new record. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), the price of 24 carat gold stood at Rs 1,26,152 per 10 grams by Wednesday morning. Silver prices also increased to Rs 1,78,100 per kg. According to the All India Bullion Association, on Tuesday, gold prices in the bullion market of the national capital Delhi crossed the level of Rs 1,30,000 per 10 grams for the first time. Silver also hit an all-time high of Rs 1,85,000 per kg (including all taxes), marking the fifth consecutive day of rise. In the last market session it had closed at Rs 1,79,000 per kg. According to the All India Bullion Association, gold prices rose by ₹2,850 in the national capital on Tuesday due to heavy buying by retailers and jewelers ahead of Dhanteras, crossing the ₹1.3 lakh per 10 gram mark for the first time. The price of 99.9 per cent pure gold rose by ₹2,850 to hit a record high of ₹1,30,800 per 10 gram (including all taxes), while it had closed at ₹1,27,950 in the previous session. Gold of 99.5 per cent purity also rose by ₹2,850 to hit a new record high of ₹1,30,200 per 10 gram (including all taxes), compared to its previous close of ₹1,27,350 per 10 gram.

Silver also rose by ₹6,000 to an all-time high of ₹1,85,000 per kg (including all taxes), rising for the fifth consecutive day, according to the All India Bullion Association. It had closed at ₹1,79,000 per kg in the last market session.

In the international market, spot gold fell below its record level, but remained higher. After touching an all-time high of $4,179.71 an ounce earlier in the day, it was trading 0.72 per cent higher at $4,140.34 an ounce. Spot silver also fell after touching an all-time high of $53.54 an ounce and closed at $51.36 an ounce, down 1.92 per cent.

On Tuesday, gold and silver futures prices reached record levels as speculators made new deals amid strong spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold contracts for December delivery rose by Rs 2,301, or 1.84 per cent, to hit an all-time high of Rs 1,26,930 per 10 grams. The price of gold contracts for delivery in February 2026 rose by ₹2,450, or 1.94 per cent, to hit an all-time high of ₹1,28,220 per 10 grams.
Silver prices in futures market
A rise was also seen in silver. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver futures contracts for December delivery rose by ₹8,055, or 5.2 per cent, to hit a record high of ₹1,62,700 per kg. Similarly, silver futures contracts for delivery in March 2026 rose by ₹9,257, or 6 per cent, to hit a new high of ₹1,63,549 per kg.
Gold and silver prices in global futures market
Gold and silver prices also reached new highs globally. Gold futures for December delivery rose more than 1 percent to an all-time high of $4,190.67 an ounce. On the other hand, silver rose 4 percent to an all-time high of $52.49 an ounce.
