Earnest. A government school teacher died in a road accident on Bayana-Hindaun State Highway. The accident happened near Dhadhrain village of Bayana Sadar police station area, where an unknown vehicle hit the teacher hard and the driver fled from the spot.
The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Makram Singh Meena, son of Bhagwat Meena, resident of Dhadhrain village. He was working as a senior teacher in the government school of Madanpur village. Sadar police station in-charge Krishnaveer Singh said that Makram Singh was returning home from the fields when a speeding vehicle hit him. Makram Singh, who was seriously injured in the accident, remained lying on the road for some time. Later, passers-by saw them and informed their family members. The family immediately took him to Upazila Hospital Bayana, where doctors declared him dead.
According to the hospital staff, he had died before reaching the hospital. The police have handed over the body to the family members after postmortem and have started searching for the unknown vehicle and its driver. A case has been registered in this regard and further legal action is being taken.
