Kaimur, October 24 (IANS). Amidst Bihar Assembly elections, political activities have increased in Mohania Assembly of Kaimur district. After the cancellation of nomination of RJD candidate Shweta Suman, independent candidate Ravi Shankar Paswan, son of former BJP MP from Sasaram parliamentary constituency Chhedi Paswan, joined RJD.
At the same time, RJD has given its support to independent candidate Ravi Shankar Paswan from Mohania Assembly.
Ravi Shankar Paswan said that today I have got the symbol. Everyone has come to know that Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Yadav, and the entire Grand Alliance have supported me. The work that my father has done has been done for every section of the society. My father will come to support me.
Earlier, RJD candidate Shweta Suman from Mohania assembly seat of Kaimur district had filed her nomination papers amid much fanfare.
Shweta Suman had earlier contested from the same seat in the 2020 assembly elections on the ticket of Upendra Kushwaha’s party and at that time she stood third. This time, at the last moment, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) had declared him as its candidate, but after his nomination was canceled, all the political equations on the seat changed.
At the same time, BJP has given ticket to Sangeeta Kumari on Mohania assembly seat. Outgoing MLA Sangeeta Kumari said that I would like to thank the top leadership of the party very much, who has given me the ticket.
Jansuraj Party has fielded Geeta Pasi. Geeta Pasi has been a Zilla Parishad member twice. Geeta Pasi says that she will become the voice of the people and fight for their interests in the Assembly.
Voting for 243 assembly seats in Bihar will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11 and the results will be declared on November 14. Voting is to be held in Kaimur district under the second phase on November 11.
