Samastipur, October 24 (IANS). The family of Jannayak Karpoori Thakur has expressed happiness and pride when Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Karpoori village on Friday amid Bihar Assembly elections. Amrita Kumari, daughter of Union Minister of State Ramnath Thakur and granddaughter of Karpoori Thakur, said that I was very happy that PM Modi came to Karpoori village. I never thought that a Prime Minister could come to Karpuri village. I became emotional due to his arrival.
Amrita Kumari said that PM Modi came to my grandfather’s birthplace, I and my family liked it very much. This is beyond my imagination.
Speaking to IANS, he said that PM Modi spoke to me and asked about my work and education. It is a matter of pride for me that he came here as PM and talked to us.
Manesvi Chandra, granddaughter of Union Minister of State Ramnath Thakur, said that Prime Minister Modi blessed a lot and inspired her to move forward. He provided me with valuable guidance. He talked about the development of Bihar and Samastipur.
Manesvi told that she wants to become a doctor and take forward the legacy of her family by joining politics.
He said that my grandfather did a lot of work for Bihar and the country. PM Modi is very patient and inspiring. He thinks a lot about India and looks at each and every thing deeply. He also asked my opinion on youth and politics.
Manesvi told that PM Modi, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and their security personnel took off their shoes before garlanding the statue of Karpoori Thakur. This shows that he is a grassroots leader. I am proud to be a part of the family whose member was Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur. We may not have seen him, but his work for Bihar and the country means a lot to me.
Union Minister of State Ramnath Thakur said that PM Modi made the people proud by coming to Karpoori village and showed his respect by garlanding the statue of Karpoori Thakur. I express my gratitude on their behalf. Ramnath Thakur said that Karpoori Thakur had lit the torch for the rights of the poor and the oppressed and fought against injustice. PM Modi has called upon the public to follow his principles. We accept that PM Modi has strengthened the NDA alliance by starting the election campaign from the birthplace of Karpoori Thakur.
He said that NDA candidates should win from all areas and further strengthen the leadership of Nitish Kumar and PM Modi. PM Modi has given respect to the area by coming to this village.
On Congress MP Rahul Gandhi being called a Jannayak, Ramnath Thakur taunted and said that the people made Karpoori Thakur a Jannayak. Who made Rahul Gandhi a public leader? No one becomes a public leader by someone’s advice. It is wrong to say this.
