Lalsot. There is increasing anger among farmers regarding the purchase of groundnuts at support price. In a memorandum submitted to the Cooperation Minister by the farmers to Sub-Divisional Officer Lalsot Vijendra Meena and Sub-Divisional Officer Ramgarh Pachwara Badri Narayan Meena, they alleged that the registration portal started by Rajfed was closed after running for just two days, due to which thousands of farmers were deprived of registration. Farmers said that there is good production of groundnut in all the four tehsils of Dausa district, but due to the sudden closure of the portal, the real farmers did not get a chance. At the same time, some traders and brokers got fake registrations done through e-Mitra centres. Farmers claimed that around 1950 registrations are being declared doubtful, while genuine farmers are still out of registration. The farmers demand that the government should reopen the registration portal, the earlier registrations should be checked, and Girdawari of the deprived farmers should be done properly, so that the farmers do not remain in loss at any level.
Farmers have warned that if the portal is not started within two days, a big agitation will be launched, the entire responsibility of which will be on the administration and the concerned department. Farmers also suggested that the goods should be weighed on the same day the gate pass is issued in the market, so that the middlemen doing fake registration can be curbed.
Many farmers including farmer leaders Dr. Dhanpal Meena, Khayali Prasad Meena, Gopal Singh, Ramjilal Sirra, Gopal Krishna and Dharam Singh Meena were present on this occasion.
