Mumbai, November 12 (IANS). More than 50 percent of companies in India believe that AI (Artificial Intelligence) workloads could grow by more than 50 percent in the coming three to five years and 51 percent of companies are investing in new data center capacity in the next 12 months to handle it. This information was given in a report released on Wednesday.
A report released by networking equipment manufacturing company Cisco said that 91 percent of Indian companies are deploying autonomous AI agents in their systems and only 37 percent are able to keep them completely secure.
Globally, 13 per cent of organizations implementing AI are outperforming their peers by opting for fundamental infrastructure, leading to compounded benefits, the report said.
Calling such organizations “pacesetters” in the report, Cisco said 97 percent of global pacesetters have used AI to unlock use cases and achieve greater return on investment (ROI).
“They build a network-first foundation, prioritize power infrastructure, continuously optimize, and keep security in mind from day one,” the report said.
Artificial Intelligence is also becoming an important factor for employees in changing the way they work in the workplace.
A latest study by job site Indeed shows that 71 percent of employees use AI for career planning and problem solving.
The report says 75 percent of employees have started adopting at least one new workplace behavior, such as micro-retirement, moonlighting, flexible schedules and bare-minimum Mondays.
Additionally, 68 percent of entry-to-junior level employees are trying new approaches to learning and career planning. Four out of 10 employees, or nearly 40 percent, say they balance work-life with moonlighting, flexible schedules and short career breaks.
