Greater Noida. Last Wednesday, an 8-year-old student was going to school with his sister in Ajnara Home Society, Greater Noida. At that very moment he slipped and fell under the cab coming from behind. Its video was also revealed. It was fortunate that the children did not suffer much injury and remained safe. Taking action in this case, the police have seized the cab and the accused driver has been taken into custody. According to the information received from the police, a student going to school got hit by a cab in front of J-Tower of the society. The accident occurred when 8-year-old student Sudeep Kumar was going towards the society gate with his school bag and sister. In the CCTV footage and the video which is becoming increasingly viral on social media, it is clearly visible that the child suddenly slips and falls and at the same time the front wheel of the car coming from behind runs over him.
The cab was being driven by Akash Kumar Rajput (resident of Jatpura Sumali, District Amroha). As soon as the child fell in front of the car, the wheel of the cab ran over him, but fortunately the driver applied brakes immediately. The people present there, the student’s sister and the woman immediately ran and pulled the child out safely from under the car.
The child suffered injuries on his hands, legs and many parts of his body, after which he was immediately admitted to a nearby private hospital, where his condition is fine. Local residents have said that the security and traffic system in the society is completely poor.
There is illegal parking of vehicles near the entry and exit gates, due to which there is not enough space left for movement and there is a risk of accidents. Residents also accused the builder of not implementing clear traffic arrangements and monitoring systems for safe movement, despite repeated complaints about the problem.
As soon as information about the incident was received, Bisrakh police station reached the spot. Police have seized the car and taken the driver Akash Kumar into custody and further legal action is being taken. Police said that preliminary investigation has not found any serious injuries on the child, but detailed investigation of the case is going on.
