Tata Motors leads MG, Mahindra, Kia, BYD and Hyundai in EV sales list in November 2025 with 6,096 units
India’s electric car market has seen a slight decline in sales in November 2025 after last month’s festive surge. Due to the end of festivals and less shopping rush, month-on-month sales of most of the major EV companies declined, but according to the vehicle data, there was no change in the top-5 ranking.
Tata Motors has once again achieved the first position in highest sales. However, its sales were 7,363 units in October, which came down to 6,096 units in November. Yet the brand maintained a strong market share of 41 percent. Tata’s models like Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV and Curvv EV are continuously bringing in massive sales. Harrier EV also remains a very popular model and Sierra EV will also be included in the portfolio in 2026.
In second place was JSW MG Motor India, which sold 3,658 units in November, while in October the figure was 4,744 units. MG remains the second largest EV brand in India with 25 percent market share. Apart from the strong demand for the company’s Windsor EV, ZS EV and Comet EV have also strengthened its grip.

At the third place was Mahindra, which sold 2,920 units in November. Whereas in October the company had sold a total of 3,989 units. Mahindra remains a strong contender in the EV segment with 19 percent market share. The company currently sells the XUV400, XEV 9e and BE 6.
Mahindra recently launched the XEV 9S, which is the company’s first 7-seater electric SUV and its price starts at Rs 19.95 lakh. This electric SUV is built on the INGLO platform like the XEV 9e and BE 6. This electric SUV will be available with 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh battery options. Apart from this, work is also going on on an electric compact SUV based on XUV 3X0.
At the bottom of the list were Kia India, BYD India and Hyundai Motor India. The market share of these three was recorded at around 3 percent. In November, Kia sold 463 units (636 units in October), BYD sold 417 units (562 units in October) and Hyundai sold 370 units, which is less than 437 units in October. Overall, EV sales declined slightly in November, but there was no change in market leadership.
