Jaipur. Vigilance branch of Jaipur Discom conducted vigilance investigation in Radawas and Khejroli area of Jaipur Rural on Tuesday. Additional Superintendent of Police (Vigilance) Mahendra Kumar Sharma and Superintending Engineer (Vigilance) B.L. Sharma said that the team under the leadership of Assistant Engineer (Vigilance) Upasana Singh caught cases of electricity theft at 7 places in BMC, Brick Kiln, Poultry Farm and residential complexes under Radawas Electricity Sub Division area and also caught electricity theft at 1 petrol pump under Khejroli Sub Division area. A total fine of Rs 18.81 lakh has been imposed in these 8 cases. Electricity theft in Milk Producer Women’s Cooperative Society (BMC): – VCR of a BMC located in Hanutpura of Radawas was filled and a fine of about Rs 4.58 lakh was imposed.
Electricity theft in brick kilns:- A fine of Rs 2.18 lakh and Rs 1.16 lakh has been imposed on 2 brick kilns located in Maharkhurd of Radawas respectively.
Electricity theft in residential complexes:- A fine of Rs 2.89 lakh has been imposed for electricity theft in 3 residential complexes located at Hanutia and Hanutpura of Radawas.
Electricity theft in poultry farm:- A fine of Rs 2.59 lakh has been imposed on a poultry farm in Hanutpura.
Electricity theft in petrol pump:- A fine of Rs 5.37 lakh has been imposed on a petrol pump located in Singod Khurd of Khejroli.
Notices have been issued to the concerned persons and consumers. All illegal cables have been seized by the team from the spot.
