Prices for the new generation Kia Seltos will be revealed on January 2, 2026, while deliveries will begin in mid-January.
Kia has revealed the new Seltos at its global premiere held in India. It has been introduced as a larger, more stylish and premium midsize SUV. Bookings have started from midnight across the country, the token amount of which has been kept at Rs 25,000. The new Seltos now comes with more powerful road presence as it has increased in size.
Its length is 4,460 mm and width is 1,830 mm, making it the longest SUV in its segment. The wheelbase of 2,690 mm is also quite good. Its design is based on Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy in which digital tiger face, black glossy grille and dark accents have been given. Apart from this, new projection LED headlights, star-map DRLs, new fog lamps and connected LED tail lamps have also been added.
Smart door handles, 18-inch dual-tone crystal cut alloy wheels, neon brake callipers, spoiler and skid plates are also available. The interiors get a new black-and-white dual-tone theme, which is made even more premium by the leatherette seats. The biggest attraction is its 30-inch panoramic display, which houses both the instrument cluster and infotainment. Other features include 10-way electric seats with lumbar support, relaxation mode, seat memory function (synced with ORVM) and a welcome retract feature that makes getting in and out of the car easier.
Front ventilated seats, wireless charger, Bose 8-speaker system, 64-color ambient lighting, sunshade curtains, split-reclin rear seats, dual Type-C ports and dual-pane panoramic sunroof are also available. Tech features include smart key unlocking, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay and Kia Connect 2.0, which offers remote functions, live data and OTA updates.
The new Seltos has also become quite strong in terms of safety, as Kia’s global K3 platform has been used in India for the first time. The use of high-strength steel has strengthened the structure and improved crash protection and NVH levels. Standard safety features include 6 airbags, ESC, ABS, hill-start assist, rollover sensor and rear occupant alert. Level-2 ADAS has 21 functions, which include Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Smart Cruise Control (Stop-and-Go), Blind View Monitoring and 360-degree camera etc.
Engine options remain the same as the outgoing model, including 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (115 PS/144 Nm), 1.5L turbo petrol (160 PS/253 Nm) and 1.5L diesel (116 PS/250 Nm) engines. Gearbox options like manual, iMT, CVT, 7DCT and 6-speed automatic are available in these. The new Seltos will come in HTE, HTK, HTX and GTX trims, with Convenience, Premium, ADAS and X-Line packages also available. The most advanced feature packs are available in the GTX(A) and X-Line(A) variants.
