RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Saturday criticized the NDA -led government of Bihar for lack of development in the state. Talking to the journalists, Tejashwi Yadav said, “Crime and corruption have increased. This is the condition of Bihar. See the condition of education, irrigation and healthcare.
Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks come at a time when assembly elections are likely to be held in the state in the latter part of this year. Earlier, Tejashwi Yadav made a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the protest of Bihar bandh yesterday, saying that the world’s largest party BJP has “promoted the world around the world”.
In a post shared on X, Yadav said, “For Bihar shutdown, they could hire people like a rally. Just as they pressurize the police and administration in rallies, for the shutdown, they themselves could ask the police to stop traffic. The world’s largest party, BJP, exposed the worldwide hooliganism in #Bihar yesterday.”
Tejashwi further said that BJP goons openly beat women and teachers, stopped pregnant women, pushed the elderly, misbehaved with the students, prevented the children from going to school, stopped the ambulance and beaten the families of the martyrs. He further said, “Yet these poor people are far away, even a panchayat could not be closed! Should be ashamed to these!”
Attacking the media for not covering all these “BJP’s hooligans”, Yadav said, “The sycophants media got cold on the BJP’s hooliganism. The poor person did not argue. If there was a sneezing in the opposition’s bandh, there would have been a casteist storm in their studio, the peacocks would dance on their journalism, but the poor are shocked by the BJP’s failure.”
The NDA on Thursday called for a Bihar bandh in protest against the abusive remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother at a program of the Grand Alliance in Bihar.
