New Delhi, December 29 (IANS). Mouth ulcers are considered normal and ignored, because the perception is that mouth ulcers are caused by the heat of the stomach, but this is not entirely true.
There are many reasons for mouth ulcers, which cause pain when they get worse. Due to burning sensation and pain, eating and drinking becomes difficult and sometimes even speaking becomes difficult. Today we will tell you both the cause and solution of mouth ulcers.
Repeated mouth ulcers are not normal, as it is a sign of poor digestion. Poor digestion affects many organs including the stomach, mouth, intestines and liver. Ayurveda has linked mouth ulcers to bile. Blisters occur due to increase in bile in the body and if the condition is serious then these mouth ulcers reach the respiratory tract and may also cause stomach ulcers. Apart from this, blisters can also occur due to stomach heat, deficiency of Vitamin B12, constipation, excessive spicy food and mouth infection.
Many types of remedies have been suggested in Ayurveda to deal with mouth ulcers. First, consume licorice powder and honey. Consuming liquorice powder and honey twice a day keeps the stomach cool.
Second Triphala powder. Triphala powder should be taken with lukewarm water at night. This reduces stomach heat and provides relief from constipation. If the stomach remains clean then mouth ulcers will not bother you.
Third, coconut water. Coconut water has a naturally cooling effect and also helps in increasing digestion power. Drink coconut water twice a day. If there are too many blisters then apply sugar candy mixed with ghee on the tongue at night. This recipe will help in reducing the burning sensation of the ulcers. With this, dissolve alum in water and gargle.
This will reduce mouth infections. Along with the measures, it is also important to avoid eating and drinking. Avoid hot and spicy food and take cold and liquids. Consume curd, buttermilk and cold fruits. If the blisters do not heal within 7 days, occur repeatedly or the pain is severe, then definitely consult a doctor.
