Skoda has officially shown the first glimpse of the facelift version of its popular SUV Kushaq. This is the first major update of this vehicle after its launch in the year 2021. The good news for car lovers is that they will not have to wait much, because according to reports, it can be launched in India this month i.e. around January 20, 2026. Many major changes will be seen in this new SUV, from design to features.
New design and stylish look
There will be a lot of freshness in the design of Skoda Kushaq facelift. According to the teaser and leaked information, its front and rear parts have been redesigned. It has been provided with new LED headlights and DRLs, in which sequential turn indicators are likely to be available. To make the design more premium, it can be given a connected light bar like Skoda Kodiaq. Apart from this, the car may get new 17 or 18 inch alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs and light bar with wraparound tail-lamps at the rear. The company can also introduce it in some new colors.
Interior and new features
The cabin of Kushaq is also being updated, so that it can give tough competition to vehicles like Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The car is expected to get a new color theme and upholstery inside. However, it will continue to have the same 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 8-inch digital driver display as before. As the biggest change, features like Panoramic Sunroof, 360-degree camera and Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) can be added to it. Apart from this, features like wireless charger, ventilated front seats and automatic climate control will continue to be available as before.
Engine and Performance
Mechanically, no major changes have been made to the vehicle. This SUV will come with its tried and tested petrol engine options only. There will be no option of diesel engine in it. Its mileage is expected to be around 18-19 kmpl. Engine details are given below:
Engine Power Torque Transmission 1.0L TSI Petrol 115 PS 178 Nm 6-Speed MT / 6-Speed AT 1.5L TSI Petrol 150 PS 250 Nm 6-Speed AT / 7-Speed DCT
Safety Features
Skoda is known for safety in its vehicles and there will be no compromise on safety in the new Kushaq. It will be provided with 6 airbags as standard. Apart from this, features like Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchor, hill-hold assist and rear parking sensor/camera will be available. If it comes with Level-2 ADAS, then it will become a very strong contender in its segment in terms of safety.
