He said that we currently have a limit of Rs 20 lakh in the service sector. After GST, it should be increased to Rs 40 lakh, which will make it easier for small shopkeepers. Traders are the backbone of the economy. Small traders collect taxes and pay them to the government. It is expected from the government that there will be relief in income tax slab also.
Businessman Navdeep Sharma said that the government talks about ‘Made in India’, but still people prefer to wear international brands, which also makes a difference to our sales. If the government brings such policies for products made in India, due to which people buy clothes made in India, then there is a difference in sales. Sales circulation will also increase. Labor will also get more work. He said that the income tax slab should be such that there is no compulsion to hide the tax and the tax should be shown openly.
Sushil Bansal said that I have a clothes business. I believe that the budget should be friendly so that the shopkeeper can work freely. The tax slab in GST should be downwards. Income tax slab should be increased to Rs 15 lakh, it will be very beneficial. Pritam Singh said that a policy should be made for businessmen that if a businessman dies due to old age, he should get pension.
A businessman in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh said that just as everyone wishes that the budget should be easy, some good steps were taken in last year’s budget, such as exemption in income tax. If those exemptions can be increased, then steps should be taken in that direction. Another businessman said that the main demand of the business community is that goods should be cheaper. Inflation is very high and a major reason for this is transportation cost. Therefore, it is very important to reduce the prices of petroleum products.
