In Pakistan’s Balochistan province, security forces have carried out the biggest and most gruesome action against terrorism so far. The Army has killed 145 terrorists in a massive operation within the last 40 hours. This action has been taken in response to the recent terrorist attacks, which have raised concerns about the security situation in the entire area. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti held a press conference in Quetta on Sunday and shared information about this major action and patted the back of the security forces.

Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti confirmed the action, apart from 145 terrorists killed, many arrested and some surrendered.

While addressing the media, Chief Minister Bugti said that the security agencies and the army conducted this ‘clean-up’ operation on the basis of intelligence information. Confirming the figures, he said that 145 terrorists have been killed in this encounter, while 5 others have been arrested alive. In view of the strict siege and pressure of the army, 3 terrorists have laid down their arms and surrendered. The government has given a clear message that any element challenging the state authority and law will not be spared and this zero-tolerance policy against them will continue.

Revenge was taken for the attack on security convoy in Lasbela, BLA’s Majeed Brigade created ruckus on the national highway.

This major military action is being seen as a retaliation to the recent heart-breaking terrorist attack in Lasbela district. It is noteworthy that on Thursday, Majeed Brigade of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) had targeted a convoy of security forces on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway. In this suicide attack, many vehicles were set on fire and civilians including security personnel lost their lives. After this incident, the army intensified the search operation in the entire area and launched precise attacks on the intelligence bases of the terrorists.

Provincial government gave message to stand shoulder to shoulder with security forces, high alert issued in entire Balochistan

The Chief Minister stressed that the Balochistan government and the entire administration stand firmly with the security forces. He said that whatever elements try to harm the peace and security of the country, their consequences will be bad. At present, in view of the sensitivity of the situation, high alert has been declared in the entire province. Patrolling has been increased on major roads and sensitive areas to prevent any kind of retaliatory action. The administration says that this campaign against terrorists will continue with the same intensity until complete peace is restored in the area.
