New Delhi, February 3 (IANS). Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi has given a sharp reaction after the trade deal between India and America. He alleged that in this trade deal the government has sold the hard work and blood sweat of the farmers. They did this because they are under pressure. He also accused the government of preventing him from speaking in Parliament.
Speaking to the media in the Parliament complex after the huge uproar in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Rahul Gandhi said, “The government is nervous. Nothing changed in the trade deal which was pending for four months and that trade deal was signed on Monday evening. What is the reason behind this, which he himself and the Prime Minister know?”
The Congress MP said, “There is tremendous pressure on the central government. The balloon of their image, which was built by spending thousands of crores of rupees, may burst.”
Alleging that he was prevented from speaking in Parliament, he said, “Actually the problem is not the statement of Naravane ji (former army chief Manoj Mukund Naravane), it is a side show. The government has been compromised. Who has done it, how has it been done, it is for the people of the country to think.” He said, “For the first time in history, the Leader of the Opposition was not allowed to speak on the President’s address.”
Rahul Gandhi also said that the farmers of the country should understand that the government has sold your hard work and blood and sweat in this trade deal. It is sold because it is compromised. He said, “The government has sold not just the farmers but the entire country. That’s why they are not allowing me to speak in the Parliament. The government is scared because the same people who have created their image are trying to destroy their image.”
